The motors can be connected either in star or in triangle depending on the manufacturer's specifications. Most small three-phase motors have direct star start wiring like most Italian motors (230/400 - DC / 400 V / Y). Asynchronous three-phase motors that are connected during start-up or their permanent operation in a triangle, to reduce the starting current are connected for a few seconds to a star (400/690 - N / A or 400 V / N) using a suitable panel, for star connection triangle and the correct wiring of the motor talk first with your electrician installer.
